For our client, an innovative expanding group of companies in high-voltage construction, we are looking for you as an experienced accountant according to HGB (m/f/d) in Berlin-Marzahn for a permanent position in the context of direct placement.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the full management of the company's general ledgers and ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulations
  • You will be responsible for the ongoing posting of all business transactions in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable and asset accounting in compliance with commercial law
  • You will be responsible for the entire processing of travel expense reports, credit card charges and cash balances and ensure the correct posting of all income and expenses of the division
  • You ensure the monitoring, determination and timely posting of provisions and accruals in order to achieve correct accruals and deferrals in monthly reporting
  • You independently prepare the annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and actively participate in audits by auditors:
  • You are responsible for the submission of monthly advance VAT returns, other statistical reports and the reliable execution of invoice verification and preparation
  • You act as a contact person for all internal and external concerns and are involved in projects and special topics

Requirements

  • You have a degree in business administration or a commercial apprenticeship, for example as a tax clerk (m/f/d), accountant (m/f/d), controller (m/f/d), business economist (m/f/d)
  • You have a sound, several years of professional experience in the accounting department of a medium-sized or large company
  • In addition, you are confident in dealing with all common accounting processes and have already worked on several projects in finance with several clients
  • You have a sound knowledge of German commercial and tax law and tax law characterise you and enable you to provide transparent and correct financial reporting
  • Your German language skills are at a native level in spoken and written (C1/C2)
  • You are also experienced in using MS Office applications and ideally with the financial accounting software SAP
  • You bring a high level of commitment, flexibility as well as analytical skills and an affinity for numbers
  • You are characterised by a strategic, independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
