For our client, a medium-sized company in the mechanical and plant engineering industry in Solingen, we are looking for you as an accountant (m/f/d) as part of the temporary employment with takeover option.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the independent and careful management of several clients in the accounting department to ensure the correct mapping of business transactions
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the complete processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounting, from recording to posting all relevant transactions
  • Your daily tasks will also include entering domestic and foreign payment transactions and maintaining complete cash books
  • Preparing the monthly advance VAT returns and preparing the monthly financial statements for internal reporting are also part of your job
  • As part of your role, you will support the preparation of the annual financial statements and work closely with the tax advisor, to ensure a smooth year-end closing
  • Finally, you will be responsible for processing all incoming employee expense reports, checking them for accuracy and ensuring prompt payment

Requirements

  • You have completed commercial training as an office management assistant (m/f/d) or industrial clerk (m/f/d) as well as further training as a commercial specialist (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounting
  • You are confident in using common ERP systems and MS Office applications, especially Excel, are what characterise you
  • Written and spoken German at native speaker level round off your profile
  • Furthermore, you have a high level of communication skills and team spirit to actively contribute to the existing team and ensure good cooperation
  • Finally, you are independent, careful and always work in a structured manner to ensure the quality of your work even under deadline pressure
