Job description

  • You will be responsible for the creation and detailed evaluation of field of vision analyses for optical systems and supervise the mechanical integration of all optronic components in compliance with ECE and StVZO
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the precise definition of component positions in accordance with applicable standards and will be responsible for the technical design and integration of wiping and cleaning systems for windows and sensors
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for the design and professional integration of kinematic systems, which are used for the precise mounting of sensors in the weight range from one to 50 kilograms
  • The close coordination and binding definition of all necessary electrical interfaces in close cooperation with the specialist departments for smooth mechanical integration is also part of your tasks
  • You will be responsible for the creation and careful maintenance of the technical specifications, specifications and functional specifications, and you will independently carry out the verification of the properly integrated components
  • Finally, you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and detailed documentation of all relevant design documents, using the modern Siemens NX CAD system

Requirements

  • You have a degree in mechanical engineering (m/f/d), automotive engineering (m/f/d) or a comparable degree in systems engineering and ideally have initial professional experience in this challenging field, in particular in the integration of optronic systems in mechanical environments
  • In addition, you have knowledge in the professional management of external contractors or service providers in the context of development projects, which is a great advantage for the position
  • You are characterised by your confident knowledge of common CAD and PLM programs, preferably having already gained in-depth experience with Siemens NX, and you are confident in using standard Microsoft Office applications
  • Your written and spoken German language skills at native speaker level and your good written and spoken English skills for international correspondence are essential
  • Furthermore, you have a high level of strong technical understanding and creative thinking skills, to solve complex problems in the system environment and develop innovative integration solutions
  • Finally, you are self-motivated and work in a highly structured manner, which enables you to complete your tasks reliably and on time in the project environment
