Job description

  • You will be responsible for the independent support and strategic acquisition of national customers in the region:
  • You are responsible for the strategic acquisition of national customers in the region in order to successfully expand long-term partnerships in the global logistics network based on our growth
  • You provide competent advice to your contacts across all transport routes, using your in-depth expertise in sea and air freight to optimise complex supply chains
  • Proactive market observation and the detailed analysis of customer requirements are part of your area of responsibility in order to prepare well-founded reports as a basis for strategic decisions
  • You inspire potential new customers with professional presentations and conduct price negotiations with diplomatic skills and a pronounced cost awareness:

  • you plan regular business trips at home and abroad independently in order to personally look after your customers and develop a deep understanding of their individual logistics needs

Requirements

  • You have a successfully completed degree, for example a Bachelor of Arts in Logistics Management, Master of Science Supply Chain Management or Diplom-Betriebswirt (m/f/d) or a similar qualification
  • You must have several years of professional experience and expertise in the areas of sea and air freight for this challenging sales role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern ERP systems and common MS Office applications is essential for efficient data analysis and quotation preparation in your day-to-day work

  • You will be able to communicate professionally with your global business partners thanks to your native level of written and spoken German and fluency in English:
  • strong communication skills and a keen sense for customer-oriented solutions characterise you, whereby you are willing to travel regularly, even for several days, to international markets
  • you must have a valid work permit for the German labour market and the necessary flexibility to travel around two days a week
