Job description

  • You will assume full responsibility for the ongoing accounting for several companies and ensure compliance with all legal and internal guidelines
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the seamless execution and continuous monitoring of all payment transactions, including the clarification of any differences with the banks
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for the independent preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements for the German companies in strict compliance with the applicable provisions of the German Commercial Code (HGB)

  • Your varied and responsible tasks also include preparing the comprehensive consolidated financial statements and providing all the necessary data for the audit
  • As part of your role, you will support the implementation of the complex intercompany settlements of the companies you are responsible for to ensure that all business transactions are correctly mapped across the Group
  • You will also play an active role in the continuous optimisation of existing processes in finance, to increase efficiency within your department in a sustainable and future-oriented manner
  • Involvement in exciting cross-departmental projects, such as the integration of new locations into the existing structure, is also part of your interesting day-to-day work
  • Finally, you are responsible for the timely preparation of advance VAT returns and act as a competent contact person for tax issues with the responsible authorities and offices

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed a degree in business administration or economics with a focus on accounting or taxes
  • Alternatively, you have completed training as a tax clerk (m/f/d) or commercial training with successful further training as an accountant (IHK), accounting or tax

  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in a comparable position within financial accounting, which enables you to handle complex accounting issues confidently and independently
  • You have a sound knowledge of common IT applications, in particular the routine use of MS Office and very good user skills in Excel, characterise you professionally
  • German language skills at native speaker level in spoken and written as well as a precise way of expression enable you to communicate smoothly with all internal and external interfaces
  • Furthermore, you bring a high degree of reliability and a pronounced affinity for numbers, which enable you to always work in a quality-conscious manner even under deadline pressure
  • Finally, you are an absolute team player and work in a consistently structured, conscientious manner and with a high demand on the accuracy of your own work results
