Job description

  • You will take on a key role and maintain an overall view of all financial processes of the BP group of companies in close cooperation with the commercial management
  • With your expertise, you will prepare the quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code and annual financial statements according to HGB for the German companies
  • You coordinate external service providers and act as an important interface for the financial statements of the international BP companies
  • You are responsible for intercompany reconciliations within the entire group of companies
  • You ensure liquidity management and prepare meaningful reporting for the management
  • You are responsible for asset accounting
  • Recurring reports such as advance VAT returns, Z4 or OSS returns on time
  • You prepare tax returns and work closely with external tax advisors
  • You ensure compliance with tax and accounting compliance requirements at all times
  • You are a competent contact for auditors, tax advisors and other external stakeholders
  • You are responsible for the preparation, implementation and follow-up of annual audits and external tax audits
  • You are actively involved in process optimisation and digitalisation projects
  • In close cooperation, you provide technical support to the financial accounting department

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed commercial training with further training as an accountant (m/f/d) or a comparable degree
  • With at least five years of professional experience in a corporate environment - not in a tax office - you have the necessary practical knowledge
  • You are characterised by very good knowledge of preparing financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code
  • You have experience in accompanying annual audits
  • and dealing with ERP and accounting systems
  • . and in dealing with auditors and tax consultants
  • You are confident in working with ERP and accounting systems and can quickly familiarise yourself with new systems
  • You ideally have knowledge of LucaNet and experience in an international environment
  • Your profile includes a very good command of German and good written and spoken English
  • A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to grasp topics holistically, to grasp topics holistically
  • With your strong communication skills and confident manner, you will impress internal and external contacts
  • You enjoy working on projects - especially in the area of process digitalisation
