Job description

  • You will assume full responsibility for the strategic purchasing of raw materials, auxiliary materials, operating materials as well as tools and services for the assembly plant at the Nonnweiler site
  • In addition, you will be responsible for drawing up legally compliant supplier contracts, actively managing your supplier portfolio and conducting professional price negotiations to ensure competitiveness
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for monitoring all purchasing guidelines and implementing the necessary specifications with your suppliers, to ensure the quality and safety of medical products in the long term
  • The commercial processing of complaints is also one of your tasks, always ensuring and coordinating efficient communication with all internal departments and external contacts
  • as part of your role, you support the optimisation of stocks to avoid bottlenecks and conscientiously maintain all relevant master data within the SAP ERP system to ensure smooth processes
  • finally, you are responsible for planning and managing the transport of raw materials, taking costs and quality into account, and act as a competent project buyer for important product changes

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed a degree in business administration (m/f/d), industrial engineering (m/f/d) or office management (m/f/d) with a focus on purchasing or materials management
  • In addition, you have several years of professional experience in purchasing in a manufacturing company, Ideally, you have already gained initial insights into the specific requirements of medical technology
  • You are confident in the use of SAP and have a strong technical understanding, enabling you to make a sound assessment of technical requirements and services
  • You have a native level of written and spoken German and a very good command of English for professional communication with your local and international contacts in the network
  • In addition, you have a high level of negotiating skills and organisational talent, whereby you convince with your cooperative attitude and your independent way of working and drive projects forward in a goal-oriented manner
  • Finally, you are prepared to make regular visits to suppliers and have a valid class B driving licence to ensure personal support for your partners on site at all times
