For our client, a medium-sized company in the global transport and logistics services sector in Bremen, we are looking for you as a Local Transport Dispatcher (m/f/d) as part of a temporary employment contract with a takeover option.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the operational control and efficient scheduling of around 30 to 40 trucks per day in regional local transport in the Bremen area
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the optimal utilisation of the vehicle fleet and compliance with all legal driving and rest times of your assigned driving teams
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for all communication with the partners involved and the drivers:
  • You will also be responsible for the creation and processing of all necessary freight documents and the documentation of journeys in the forwarding company's own system
  • As part of your job, you will support process optimisation within local transport scheduling and react flexibly to short-term changes in daily operational business
  • Finally, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance with customer deadlines:and act as a solution-oriented contact person in the event of any disruptions in the transport process

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d) or office management clerk (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have initial practical experience in the field of logistics or scheduling, whereby intensive training is possible for motivated career changers:
  • You are personally characterised by your confident knowledge of the common MS Office applications as well as a quick grasp of new IT systems and modern scheduling software
  • German language skills at native speaker level in spoken and written for precise communication with customers:and colleagues are a matter of course for you
  • Furthermore, you have a high level of communication skills and a strong can-do mentality in order to always maintain an overview even in stressful situations
  • Finally, you are an absolute team player with a structured way of working and impress with your high level of reliability and your strong hands-on mentality
