Job description

  • You will be responsible for the independent and optimal planning and scheduling of local transport, taking into account all economic factors to ensure efficient vehicle utilisation
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the seamless deadline monitoring of all shipments as well as consistent status monitoring, including the assignment of relevant status messages in the system-side workflow
  • Furthermore, you will support customers with regard to qualified order acceptance and proactive response to complex shipment enquiries to ensure maximum satisfaction of your contact persons
  • Controlling the transport companies used and drivers in compliance with legal social regulations is also part of your daily responsible tasks

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d) or office management clerk (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have several years of professional experience in the field of freight forwarding as well as sound expertise in the scheduling of road haulage within a dynamic and modern working environment
  • You have a sound knowledge of the common MS-Office applications as well as sound knowledge of modern computer programmes for transport control characterise you as a competent team player
  • You have a native level of written and spoken German to ensure smooth communication with your colleagues and customers at all times:colleagues and customers in a professional manner at all times
  • Furthermore, you have a high degree of reliability and team spirit and impress with your structured and organised way of working, even in stressful situations
  • Finally, you are resilient and always work in a goal-oriented manner in order to sustainably meet the high quality standards in daily scheduling for our client's customers
