Job description

  • You will be responsible for the operational scheduling of current transport orders for national and international inbound and outbound transport and outgoing transports in the field of road freight transport, taking into account all deadlines
  • In addition, you are responsible for the independent and cost-optimised purchase of required freight space from various national and international carriers and forwarding partners to ensure the flow of goods
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the systemic processing of all transport orders in the SAP TM module and ensure complete documentation and invoicing of all logistics services provided
  • Monitoring all deadlines and consistently meeting all service commitments to the branches involved, warehouses and customers are also part of your daily core tasks
  • As part of your job, you will support freight-related administrative processes such as continuous master data maintenance and the coordination of time slot bookings for smooth loading and unloading
  • Finally, you will be responsible for providing technical advice to the branches on all transport issues and optimising the relationship with the transport service providers used in the long term through targeted portfolio management

Requirements

  • You have completed a commercial apprenticeship as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d) or industrial clerk (m/f/d), optionally with further training as a transport specialist (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in the field of transport planning and in the active purchasing of transport services within a complex logistics network
  • You have a sound knowledge of common MS Office applications and practical experience in using SAP TM.
  • Furthermore, you have a high level of concentration even under heavy deadline pressure as well as a strong service orientation in dealing with your contact persons and customers
  • Finally, you are an absolute team player with high social skills and always work reliably, in a structured manner and with a clear view of economic relationships and process optimisation
