For our client, a medium-sized company in the transport and logistics industry in Hildesheim, we are looking for you as Dispatcher (m/f/d) as part of the temporary employment with takeover option.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the economic planning and organisation of transports using our own fleet of vehicles in national local and long-distance transport and long-distance transport in strict compliance with applicable legal regulations
  • In addition, you will be responsible for accepting and checking transport orders and coordinating relevant details with the respective clients within the framework of existing agreements
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for coordinating orders with neighbouring departments and will actively work actively on the continuous optimisation of all work results for a smooth process
  • The active guidance and support of other dispatchers working on orders as well as the drivers and warehouse staff carrying out the work are also part of your daily tasks within the team
  • As part of your work, you will support the checking, securing and seamless documentation of all required data, ensuring and seamlessly documenting all necessary personnel and technical deployment requirements for the entire fleet
  • Finally, you are responsible for monitoring all deadlines and ensure that goods are delivered to customers on time at all times through your forward-looking approach

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed training as a forwarding and logistics services merchant (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d) or warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in the scheduling of your own fleet or within a forwarding agency as well as comprehensive knowledge of the statutory driving and rest periods
  • You have a sound knowledge of the common MS Office applications and modern forwarding programmes and systems for transport control.applications as well as in modern freight forwarding programs and systems for transport control distinguish you in your daily work
  • You have a native level of written and spoken German for professional communication with drivers and customers and ideally have a good command of English
  • In addition, you have a high level of organisational skills and resilience, to maintain an overview of the entire route planning at all times, even in stressful situations
  • Finally, you are a real team player with strong communication skills and always work in a structured manner, independently and with a high awareness of quality and efficiency
