For our client, a medium-sized company in the arts, culture and monument preservation sector in Gotha, we are looking for you as Event Manager (m/f/d) as part of the temporary employment with takeover option.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the creative planning, detailed organisation and the professional implementation of major cultural events within the historical premises and outdoor facilities of our client
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the content of the programme, taking into account the cultural objectives and budget requirements for the respective projects and exhibitions
  • Furthermore, you will supervise the events and exhibitions on site and ensure that everything runs smoothly and that guests and participants receive first-class support
  • Needs-based personnel planning for the various events and the coordination of external service providers are also part of your responsibilities in this multifaceted position
  • As part of your role, you will support the preparation of strategic public relations and press work and prepare the necessary documents. and press work and create relevant content for internal and external communication
  • Finally, you will be responsible for the continuous maintenance and timely updating of the digital event calendar to provide visitors and partners of the foundation with the best possible information

Requirements

  • You have completed training as an event management assistant (m/f/d), marketing communications specialist (m/f/d) or tourism and leisure specialist (m/f/d) in your pocket
  • In addition, you have initial sound professional experience in the professional event industry and are familiar with the specific processes and special challenges involved in planning cultural events
  • You are particularly well versed in the common MS Office applications and in using modern Internet applications and digital communication tools in your everyday work
  • Written and spoken German at native speaker level as well as good English skills for communicating with international guests and partners are a matter of course for you
  • Furthermore, you have a high level of organisational skills as well as strong communication skills and always keep a cool head even in stressful situations
  • Finally, you hold a valid class B driving licence and have the necessary flexibility to work at weekends, on public holidays and in the evenings, public holidays and evenings
