Job description
- You will be responsible for the processing of import freight (air, ocean, truck & rail) as well as order acceptance and shipment entry in the forwarding system
- You will be in charge of customs clearance (various types of clearance, such as MRN and NCTS) and shipment organisation and scheduling
- You provide support for quality management
- You are responsible for timely preparation and on-time shipment processing
- You manage communication with airlines, shipping companies, customers, customs offices shipping companies, customers, customs offices and our local and overseas locations worldwide
- You will also take care of the billing of shipping files, rate checks, quoting air freight shipments and obtaining quotations
Requirements
- You have completed training as a forwarding agent (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
- Good knowledge of import air freight, in dealing with the Atlas customs system and in the field of customs clearance
- You are confident in using MS Office
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills characterise you
- You are willing to work in shifts and at weekends
- Reliability, team spirit and strong communication skills speak in your favour
- Your analytical thinking skills, your structured way of working and a high level of initiative round off your profile
