For our client, a medium-sized company in the freight forwarding and logistics industry in Barby, we are looking for you as Forwarding Clerk (m/f/d) as part of direct placement.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the independent preparation and conscientious checking of all relevant freight documents for national and international goods transport in compliance with legal requirements
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the professional processing of all incoming customer enquiries and the solution-oriented handling of complaints to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for daily communication with your drivers and external service providers, to ensure that transport processes run smoothly and deadlines are met at all times
  • Continuous maintenance and updating of shipment-related data in the internal IT system is also part of your daily tasks for seamless documentation
  • As part of your job, you support operational planning with your in-depth knowledge of the traffic geographies in Germany and Europe for efficient route planning
  • Finally, you are responsible for monitoring delivery deadlines and proactively informing the customers and partners involved about the current status of deliveries:and partners involved proactively about the current status of their respective shipments

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d) or office management clerk (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in the field of forwarding or logistics services, which enables you to deal confidently with complex logistical issues
  • You are characterised by your sound knowledge of common IT skills and specialised freight forwarding software and form the basis for your structured daily working methods
  • German language skills at native speaker level, both written and spoken, as well as a good basic knowledge of English for communicating with international drivers:Inside are mandatory
  • Furthermore, you have a high level of communication skills and a strong organisational talent to always keep an overview even in stressful situations
  • Finally, you are a team-oriented personality and work absolutely reliably, independently and with a clear focus on the needs of the customers at all times
