For our client, a medium-sized company in the freight forwarding and logistics sector in Fockbek, we are looking for you as a Forwarding Clerk (m/f/d) as part of a temporary employment contract with a takeover option.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the daily scheduling of our own vehicle fleet in long-distance transport, taking into account the statutory driving and rest and rest periods as well as the economic utilisation of the vehicles
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the purchase of freight space and the awarding of charter contracts to partner companies for the optimal handling of all transport requests from our customers
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for all communication with the drivers and loading points and ensure a smooth flow of the transport chain through your forward-looking planning

  • as part of your job, you will support the calculation of freight prices and actively participate in the continuous optimisation of existing route plans and internal logistics processes

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed training as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), freight forwarding clerk (m/f/d) or office management clerk (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in the scheduling of truck transport activities, ideally with a specialist focus on long-distance transport and charter processing
  • You are particularly well qualified for this challenging position thanks to your sound knowledge of common MS Office applications and your ability to use modern freight forwarding programmes and telematics systems
  • You must have a native level of written and spoken German and a good command of English for communicating with international drivers and partners
  • In addition, you are characterised by a high degree of resilience and a strong ability to assert yourself, to always maintain an overview even in hectic phases of day-to-day business
  • Finally, you are an absolute team player and always work in a solution-oriented and independent manner to ensure the high quality standards in customer service and transport processing
