• You will be responsible for the independent and goal-oriented professional management and guidance of all employees in the Civil Engineering and Green Spaces department to ensure effective task management
• In addition, you will be responsible for the sound planning and strategic conceptualisation of various water protection measures, for heavy rainfall prevention and sustainable flood protection in the urban area
• In addition, you will be responsible for the management and overall responsibility of complex infrastructure projects, including technical planning, the handling of all award processes and the coordination of all project participants
• Representing the specialist service in political bodies, the public and inter-municipal networks, public and inter-municipal networks, including the preparation of important meeting documents, is also part of your responsibilities
• As part of your work, you will support the financial responsibility for all products of the specialised service, including investment planning and the entire budgetary controlling
• Finally, you will be responsible for the technical support of commissioned engineering firms in your function as client and safely handle funding measures from the application to the proof of use

• You have successfully completed your studies as a civil engineer (m/f/d), graduate engineer (m/f/d) or industrial engineer (m/f/d) in the field of water management, road construction or transport
• In addition, you have several years of sound professional experience with extensive practical knowledge in the field of municipal civil engineering as well as initial experience in the technical management of teams
• Your confident knowledge in the use of MS-Office, GIS, AVA and common CAD systems such as RIB iTWO civil characterise you particularly for this position
• You have a native level of written and spoken German for precise communication with political bodies, authorities and all citizens involved:internal and external networks
• Furthermore, you have a high degree of decision-making and negotiating skills and are highly competent in motivating and encouraging your subordinates
• Finally, you are innovative in developing complex solutions and always work in a structured, goal-oriented manner with a keen eye for economic and holistic contexts
