For our client, a medium-sized surface finishing and hot-dip galvanising company in Chemnitz, we are looking for you as Incoming Goods Clerk (m/f/d) as part of the temporary employment with takeover option.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the professional acceptance and careful inspection of all incoming goods deliveries and ensure complete documentation of all accompanying documents and delivery notes
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the precise recording of all material movements in the SAP system and ensure an up-to-date overview of stock changes at all times through your conscientious data maintenance

  • In addition, you are responsible for the physical storage of goods in accordance with internal warehouse guidelines and ensure efficient space utilisation and compliance with all safety regulations
  • Communication with the shipping companies involved and coordination with internal production are also part of your tasks, to ensure a smooth flow of materials in the company
  • as part of your job, you will support the regular performance of inventories and contribute significantly to the avoidance of differences in stock levels through your precise working methods
  • finally, you will be responsible for the correct labelling of the delivered components and ensure that all information is correctly provided for the subsequent process steps in production

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed vocational training as a warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d), warehouse clerk (m/f/d) or freight forwarding and logistics clerk (m/f/d) as a professional basis
  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in the area of goods receiving, ideally gained in an industrial company in the metal sector, and are confident in dealing with modern warehouse management systems
  • You are characterised by your confident knowledge in the use of SAP and the common MS Office programs and enable you to efficiently handle all administrative logistics processes
  • German language skills at native speaker level, both written and spoken, are essential for communication with the suppliers:
  • Furthermore, you bring a high degree of reliability and a strong team spirit to successfully master the daily challenges in materials management together with your colleagues
  • Finally, you are resilient and always work in a structured and quality-conscious manner, keeping an overview of the tasks at hand in incoming goods even in times of high workload
