Job description

  • You plan and organise national and international shipments independently and select suitable shipping service providers
  • You use your strengths to create and process all the necessary shipping and accompanying documents to ensure a smooth process
  • You always keep an eye on delivery deadlines, track shipments and actively take care of clarifying transport problems
  • you rely on your experience when choosing the right packaging and shipping methods and pay attention to legal and safety-related requirements
  • your responsibility includes the complete customs clearance and documentation for international shipments in compliance with all export regulations
  • with your strong communication skills, you coordinate internal agreements with Sales, Production and Purchasing to optimise scheduling

  • You independently check forwarding and freight invoices and clarify any discrepancies with regard to logistics costs
  • As the first point of contact for customers and forwarding agents, you provide information to customers:

Requirements

  • You have completed commercial training as an industrial clerk (m/f/d), ideally with a focus on logistics, freight forwarding or export (e.g. logistics master or business economist)
  • You have several years of professional experience in the field of warehousing, logistics or shipping, preferably in an international environment.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of shipping and customs clearance as well as handling shipping and transport documents
  • You are confident working with MS Office and common logistics software; Experience with ERP systems is desirable
  • You have a good command of written and spoken English

  • Your communication skills and team orientation are among your strengths
