For our client, a medium-sized company in the transport and logistics industry in Barby, we are looking for you as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d) as part of direct placement.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the comprehensive organisation and management of national and international transports, taking into account the economic and scheduling requirements for the customer
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the legally compliant preparation of all relevant shipping and customs documents to ensure a smooth flow of goods across all borders
  • Furthermore, you will provide customers with competent support in all matters relating to their orders:
  • You will also be responsible for supporting the optimisation of process flows within the logistics chain as part of your role, ensuring long-term loyalty and satisfaction through proactive communication
  • Continuous monitoring of delivery dates and proactive initiation of measures in the event of any deviations, in order to guarantee efficient utilisation of transport capacities for our customer company in the long term
  • Finally, you will be responsible for the correct invoicing of the services provided and the maintenance of master data in the relevant systems to ensure transparent documentation

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), office management clerk (m/f/d) or industrial clerk (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in the field of transport logistics or freight forwarding and are very familiar with the usual processes and legal framework conditions
  • You have a good knowledge of the common MS Office applications and ideally in specialist freight forwarding programmes.applications and ideally in specialist freight forwarding programmes will set you apart and make your daily administrative work easier
  • Written and spoken German at native speaker level and a good command of English for communication with international partners and customers are essential for this position:
