For our client, a medium-sized logistics services company for the chemical and waste disposal industry in Leverkusen, we are looking for you as Assistant Materials Management (m/f/d) as part of a temporary employment contract with an option to be taken on.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for the complete documentation and labelling of all materials for internal reuse within the various storage areas and departments of our customer
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the physical sorting, structuring and clear labelling of all incoming materials to ensure a smooth flow of materials
  • In addition, you will be responsible for defining suitable storage locations and dividing materials into groups to optimise storage capacity and logistical search times on site
  • Performing simple quality checks for completeness and checking for visible damage is also part of your daily tasks in the also part of your daily tasks in incoming goods
  • as part of your job, you will support the creation of operational lists and the maintenance of system-side documentation for transparent inventory management in materials management

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed training as a warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d), warehouse clerk (m/f/d) or freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have initial sound professional experience in materials management or warehousing, ideally in an industrial environment or in logistics services
  • You are characterised by your sound knowledge of common IT applications and warehouse management systems, enabling you to precisely document material movements
  • You have a native level of written and spoken German and a clear manner of expression for internal communication with all specialist departments
  • In addition, you have a high degree of reliability and a highly structured way of working, to ensure order in the warehouse area on a permanent basis
  • Finally, you are a team player and always work conscientiously and quality-orientated to ensure the high standards in our customer's materials management at all times
