Job description

  • You will be responsible for the comprehensive optimisation of the entire gas portfolio, taking into account all relevant energy industry aspects and current market developments on the gas market
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the processing of all hedging transactions on the futures and spot market and spot market and independently carry out complex pricing for different customer groups
  • In addition, you will be responsible for data maintenance in the portfolio management system and reliably manage the daily processes to ensure error-free processing of all transactions
  • The preparation of well-founded short and long-term gas demand forecasts is also part of your tasks, in particular optimising the efficient use of existing gas storage facilities
  • as part of your role, you will support the team by actively participating in the on-call service to ensure security of supply even outside of regular working hours
  • finally, you will be responsible for compliance with all regulatory framework conditions for gas network access and act as a competent contact person for internal interfaces and external market partners

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed a degree in industrial engineering (m/f/d) or economics (m/f/d) or a comparable academic qualification in the energy industry
  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in the energy industry as well as in-depth knowledge of the legal framework such as the Gas Grid Access Ordinance and applicable cooperation agreements
  • You have a sound knowledge of the application of energy industry IT tools such as BelVis-Gas and have successfully passed the EEX exchange trader exam.tools such as BelVis-Gas as well as successfully passing the EEX exchange trader exam characterise you for this position
  • You have a native level of written and spoken German and a good command of English, to ensure smooth communication with all market participants
  • Furthermore, you bring a high level of communication skills and a strong ability to work independently and in a structured manner to your new team
  • Finally, you are a friendly team player with a valid class B driving licence and a confident and objective manner towards your contact persons
