Job description
- You will be responsible for operational order processing for the site, taking into account internal guidelines and deadlines to ensure material availability
- In addition, you will be responsible for the precise creation of orders based on the requirements determined by the system and the manual requirements requests from the specialist departments
- Furthermore, you will be responsible for seamless order tracking from order receipt to delivery and, if necessary, for professional complaints processing vis-à-vis international suppliers
- The selection of suitable suppliers according to specific price or deadline delivery and, if necessary, take over the professional processing of complaints from international suppliers
- The selection of suitable suppliers according to specific price or scheduling aspects in compliance with the global purchasing strategy is also part of your daily tasks
- As part of your job, you will support the continuous checking and systematic updating of replenishment times in the ERP system to optimise stock levels
- You will also be responsible for the management of the stock levels
- Finally, you will be responsible for master data maintenance and general correspondence with external partners and internal interfaces, to ensure a smooth flow of information within the supply chain
Requirements
- You have successfully completed training as an industrial clerk (m/f/d), office management clerk (m/f/d) or wholesale and foreign trade clerk (m/f/d) and have a commercial understanding
- In addition, you have initial professional experience in operational purchasing or materials management in a manufacturing industrial company, ideally in the field of mechanical engineering
- You have a sound knowledge of the common MS Office applications and are proficient in the use of the SAP ERP system
- You have a native level of written and spoken German and a good command of English for communication with international suppliers as a mandatory requirement
- You have a valid work permit and reside in Germany, in order to be able to carry out the activities without legal restrictions and at short notice at the Sarstedt site
- Furthermore, you have a high degree of organisational skills and negotiation skills in order to maintain an overview even in stressful situations and to achieve optimal conditions
- Finally, you are a team-oriented personality and always work reliably and independently to achieve the common goals within the operational purchasing department
