• You will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable
• checking, allocation and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices will also form part of your duties
• you will be responsible for processing payments and monitoring open items
• you will assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• You will also be responsible for reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing and assisting with the advance VAT return is also part of your duties
• You will maintain master data in the accounting system and handle the filing, archiving and digitising accounting documents
• You will communicate with customers, suppliers, banks and tax advisers, and carry out general administrative tasks relating to accounting

• You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship, ideally specialising in accounting/finance
• Professional experience in accounting would be an advantage
• You have a sound knowledge of accounting software (e.g. DATEV) as well as the standard MS Office applications
• You have a business-fluent command of written and spoken German, and hold a valid work permit
• You also hold a Class B driving licence and own a car – both are essential
• You are characterised by a structured, meticulous and reliable approach to your work
• A strong grasp of numbers and a high level of accuracy come naturally to you
• Your ability to handle sensitive and confidential data with the utmost discretion rounds off your profile
