• You will be responsible for independently handling day-to-day financial accounting and posting all business transactions to accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounts
• You will also be responsible for posting bank statements and for monitoring and processing all payment runs on a daily basis
• Furthermore, you will oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB), in close coordination with the Controlling department
• Preparing and submitting advance VAT returns to the relevant tax office by the deadline is also part of your daily duties
• As part of your role, you will support the organisation of accounting workflows and further develop existing internal processes
• Furthermore, you will facilitate smooth cooperation on accounting matters with tax advisers, auditors and other external partners
• You will be responsible for the professional preparation of statutory audits and will independently coordinate all necessary balance confirmations and inventory preparations
• Finally, you will be responsible for reporting directly to the Head of Finance and for producing meaningful reports and analyses

• You have successfully completed further training as a chartered accountant (m/f/d) or hold a comparable qualification in finance and accounting
• Completion of an apprenticeship as a tax clerk (m/f/d) or as an office management assistant (m/f/d), which forms a solid foundation for your professional career
• you also have several years’ sound professional experience in financial accounting within a manufacturing or technology-oriented industrial company
• Your confident knowledge of SAP Business One and DATEV, as well as your proficiency with MS Office, set you apart
• You have in-depth knowledge of preparing financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and, ideally, some initial theoretical or practical insight into IFRS
• You have native-level written and spoken German, as well as a good command of English for international communication
• Furthermore, you bring a highly hands-on approach, the ability to work as part of a team, a structured approach to work and a strong sense of independence
• To fulfil this role of responsibility, in addition to your professional expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and be a permanent resident in Germany
