• You will be responsible for the formal final check and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices, including recurring accounting transactions
• You will create financial addresses centrally and maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable master data
• You will play an active role in the ongoing quality assurance within financial accounting
• You will advise the budget centres and specialist departments on matters relating to accounts receivable and accounts payable
• You will play an active role in shaping the further development of central financial accounting and budget implementation
• You will deal with fundamental issues within the framework of the New Municipal Financial Management (NKF) system, whilst complying with budgetary and tax regulations
• You will assist in the preparation of budget plans and budget accounts in accordance with the NKF for the diocese and the episcopal institutions
• You will record and maintain fixed assets
• You will manage and post financial assets
• You will provide support during the introduction of new financial accounting software modules and any legacy systems

• You have successfully completed a degree at a university of applied sciences or a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, specialising in Accounting/Controlling or Taxation, or a comparable degree
• Alternatively, you have completed vocational training as a tax clerk (m/f/d), as a tax adviser (m/f/d) or a comparable commercial qualification
• You hold a qualification as a certified accountant (m/f/d) or have completed the relevant Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) further training programme to become an accountant (m/f/d)
• A mandatory requirement for us is your many years of relevant professional experience in double-entry accounting in accordance with the New Municipal Financial Management (NKF)
• You have already gained solid practical experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as in the application of budgetary and tax law provisions
• You are distinguished by your in-depth knowledge of ERP systems
• You are confident in using MS Office applications
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills round off your profile
