Job description

  • You will assume technical responsibility for the conceptual design, ongoing development and modernisation of complex crane control systems, whilst ensuring high quality standards are maintained
  • You will also be responsible for the development of new control systems and the systematic migration of existing ones, drawing on our client’s history spanning more than thirty years
  • Furthermore, you will oversee the precise specification, design, implementation and comprehensive testing of safety-critical functions in accordance with all relevant standards
  • Providing technical leadership and actively sharing knowledge within our highly qualified team of development engineers will also form part of your responsibilities
  • As part of your role, you will support the reliable execution of demanding system tests and the professional verification of all developed software components
  • Furthermore, you will support the global commissioning of modern control systems at customers’ sites should specific requirements arise
  • Finally, you will be responsible for the future-proof modernisation of established control technology, as well as the ongoing optimisation of internal development and validation processes

Requirements

  • You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or Computer Engineering, and optionally a technical apprenticeship as an electronics technician (m/f/d)
  • You also have in-depth, long-standing professional experience in PLC automation and the practical development of modern control systems in mechanical engineering
  • Your solid knowledge of CODESYS V3.5, ABB Automation Builder, Siemens STEP7 Classic and the EN ISO 13849 safety standards
  • You have native-level written and spoken German, as well as business-level English for international communication
  • Furthermore, you bring a high level of leadership skills, a willingness to mentor and support your team, and strong analytical abilities
