• You will be responsible for managing and overseeing building construction projects
• You will also be responsible for drawing up project plans, e.g. project structure plans
• Supporting the selection and appointment of contractors – in particular, preparing and overseeing tendering procedures in collaboration with the lead designer and the contracting authority – forms part of your day-to-day duties
• You will be responsible for coordination and communication between and with all parties involved in the construction project
• You will also be responsible for monitoring and managing construction progress
• Budget control and cost management, including identifying potential savings, will be your responsibility
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for quality control and ensuring compliance with building standards and legal regulations
• Intervening at an early stage and taking corrective action in the event of deviations from the plans will also form part of your duties
• you will request additional resources or funding
• finally, you will be responsible for documenting and reporting on the progress of the construction project, and for preparing proposals for political bodies

• You have successfully completed a Master’s or Diplom degree in urban planning, architecture, building construction, civil engineering, construction management, or a related academic degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the role
• Your profile includes a very good command of the German language (at least C1) and a valid work permit
• You demonstrate a willingness to implement and coordinate measures across different departments
• In-depth knowledge and experience of the project phases and areas of activity in project management in accordance with AHO Volume 9 (project control / project management) are your hallmarks
• Knowledge of and confidence in applying the VOB and HOAI (service phases 1–9) as well as knowledge of local government practice (budget management) will be to your advantage
• you also hold a Class B driving licence
• you possess a confident manner, assertiveness, strong communication skills, a quick grasp of new concepts, and the ability to think analytically and holistically
