For our client, a large industrial system catering and communal catering company in Essen, we are looking for you as a Catering Buyer (m/f/d) as part of the temporary employment with takeover option.

Job description

  • You will be responsible for processing all material requirements in the F & B and non-food areas and independently manage the disposition of all relevant articles
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the implementation of national tenders and price negotiations and will accompany the entire process competently up to the final award of contract
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for the drafting of contracts and actively participate in the development of new procurement markets and the acquisition of new suppliers:
  • The processing of orders and order confirmations is also one of your tasks, You will always keep a reliable eye on deadlines and optimise stocks
  • As part of your job, you will support the analysis of product groups and article masters and prepare detailed evaluations of sales and the turnover achieved in your area of responsibility
  • Finally, you will be responsible for all correspondence and checking incoming invoices and act as an important link between the purchasing department and internal merchandise management

Requirements

  • You have completed commercial training as an office management assistant (m/f/d), specialist in system catering (m/f/d) or hotel management assistant (m/f/d)
  • In addition, you have sound professional experience in purchasing in the catering or hotel industry and are very familiar with the specific requirements of the industry and markets
  • You have a sound knowledge of the common MS Office products, internal and internal departments
  • Furthermore, you have a high degree of negotiation skills and team spirit and convince with your strong verbal and written communication skills in a dynamic working environment
