• You will independently conduct price and contract negotiations with national and international suppliers
• You will continuously monitor global markets and systematically identify opportunities for sustainable cost reduction
• You will oversee active supplier management, whilst continuously optimising the existing supplier portfolio
• You will work closely with the engineering team on new developments and complex projects
• You will support the targeted optimisation and further development of internal procurement-related processes
• You will coordinate operationally with Production, Logistics and Engineering on cross-functional procurement issues
• You reliably monitor and maintain procurement-related master data in the SAP system and optimise its quality
• You solicit, compare and evaluate quotations, and use them to make well-founded award decisions

• you have a degree in a technical or business-related subject, such as industrial engineering, business administration or mechanical engineering
• you have already gained at least three years’ relevant professional experience as a strategic purchaser (m/f/d) in an internationally oriented company
• you have a sound knowledge of the day-to-day use of MS Office and the SAP ERP system
• You speak and write German to a business-proficient level (C1/C2) and have a very good command of English
• You are willing to travel for assignments worldwide
• You are characterised by a high degree of negotiating skill and analytical thinking
• You are assertive and work independently, in a structured manner and to very high standards
• A valid work permit and a permanent residence in Germany round off your profile
