• You will be responsible for creating and editing three-dimensional CAD models and technical drawings for bespoke bodywork and vehicle superstructures in accordance with specific customer requirements
• You will also be responsible for the independent detailed design of complex components and assemblies, taking into account all relevant manufacturing options and strict quality standards
• Furthermore, you will oversee the professional preparation of complete bills of materials and production-ready technical documentation for downstream production departments, in close coordination with the relevant specialist departments
• The continuous optimisation of existing designs in terms of function, weight and manufacturing costs is also part of your varied daily responsibilities
• As part of your role, you will assist with the technical assessment of feasibility and special requests, liaising directly with the relevant specialist departments and external partners
• Finally, you will play an active role in carrying out thorough interference checks and strength analyses to ensure consistently flawless product quality and functionality in the long term

• You have successfully completed further training as a State-Certified Technician (m/f/d) specialising in Mechanical Engineering, or an apprenticeship as a Technical Product Designer (m/f/d) or Technical Systems Planner (m/f/d)
• you also have several years’ solid professional experience in the technical design of vehicle bodies or in mechanical engineering, as well as a sound understanding of manufacturing technology
• your confident knowledge of common CAD systems such as SolidWorks or Inventor, as well as your proficient use of application software from the MicrosoftOffice suite
• Your business-fluent written and spoken German, as well as a good command of English, enable you to communicate precisely at all times during technical discussions
• Furthermore, you bring a highly solution-oriented mindset, a meticulous approach to work, as well as strong teamwork skills and excellent analytical abilities
• To fulfil this responsible role, in addition to your technical expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and have a permanent residence in Germany
