• You will be responsible for carrying out analytical and numerical strength calculations for ships and their foundations in the field of static and dynamic strength
• You will also be responsible for the precise analysis of vibrations and the thorough assessment of the stability of complex ship structures
• Furthermore, you will oversee the professional preparation of all necessary mathematical and technical verifications in the form of detailed reports and documentation
• Thoroughly reviewing technical justifications provided by external service providers and suppliers is also part of your varied daily tasks within the project business
• As part of your role, you will support the ongoing coordination of all calculation-related requirements with the relevant stakeholders across various projects
• Furthermore, you will support structured document management and independently carry out the specified internal approval processes for calculation-related documents
• Finally, you will be responsible for the targeted clarification of interfaces with other specialist groups, as well as technical coordination with suppliers, regulatory authorities and customer representatives

• You have successfully completed a degree in Naval Architecture (m/f/d), Maritime Systems Engineering (m/f/d) or Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d) with a specialisation in design
• you also have at least two to four years’ relevant professional experience as a calculation engineer, as well as in-depth practical knowledge in the field of shipbuilding
• your solid knowledge of shipbuilding-specific IT and CAD applications such as Hyperworks, Ansys, RFEM, Poseidon or Nauticus
• You have business-fluent German at a native-speaker level, as well as very good written and spoken English
• Furthermore, you possess a high degree of conceptual and analytical thinking, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
• Finally, you are extremely goal-oriented, work completely independently and impress with your high level of initiative and sense of responsibility
• To fulfil this role of responsibility, in addition to your professional expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and be permanently resident in Germany
