• You receive production orders from the production planning department and check them for feasibility
• Using specified drawings, you create CAM programmes for milling operations
• You will create set-up sheets to facilitate the provision of the programmes
• You will programme machining strategies for 3- and 5-axis milling machines and select suitable tools and clamping devices
• You manufacture components on the milling machines in accordance with the drawings
• You set up the machines in accordance with the set-up sheets and optimise the programmes where necessary
• You create and maintain measurement reports to document the dimensional accuracy of the manufactured parts
• You ensure cleanliness, tidiness and compliance with safety regulations at your workstation

• You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d), a machining mechanic (m/f/d) or a toolmaker (m/f/d)
• You have experience in operating 3- and 5-axis milling machines
• You have knowledge of the manufacturing processes used in toolmaking, machine-specific programming languages and the creation of CAM programmes

• you have a basic knowledge of MS Office
• knowledge of CAD/CAM would be an advantage
