Chemical Technical Assistant (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• You will accept hazardous waste from customers and check it for its nature and properties
• Based on the characteristics assessed, you will decide on the appropriate disposal method
• You’ll advise customers on the correct and professional disposal of their waste
• You’ll operate disposal machinery safely and expertly during ongoing operations
• You’ll take samples of the end products and check their quality
• You carefully record the disposed products in the IT system
• You issue invoices or settle transactions directly in cash with customers
• Where required, you will provide support with day-to-day operations
• Occasionally, you will transport waste around the production site, sometimes whilst wearing respiratory protection (G26.2)

What we’re looking for

• A completed apprenticeship as a chemical technician (m/f/d), chemical laboratory assistant (m/f/d), CTA (m/f/d), BTA (m/f/d) or PTA (m/f/d); alternatively, a degree in chemistry, physics or biology
• Experience in the waste disposal sector or waste management is an advantage
• You are also welcome if you are a career changer (m/f/d) from a trade or technical profession; induction training will be provided if required
• Ideally, you will have some initial professional experience, but even as a career starter you have a chance here
• A basic knowledge of German and a valid work permit are an advantage
• You work carefully and conscientiously
• You are physically fit
• A high standard of quality and GMP awareness is second nature to you
