On behalf of our client, a medium-sized company specialising in track construction and railway infrastructure based in Erfurt, we are looking for you to join us as a Civil Engineer – Estimator (m/f/d) as part of a temporary placement with the option of a permanent role.

• you will play an active role in project selection and targeted new client acquisition within the dynamic environment of modern track construction
• You will also be responsible for the careful selection and commercial and technical evaluation of all incoming tender documents
• Furthermore, you will oversee professional on-site site inspections and prepare comprehensive documentation to serve as a precise basis for subsequent cost estimation
• Your responsibilities will also include the independent preparation and timely submission of tenders, in close collaboration with the procurement, site management and technical management teams
• As part of your role, you will support the timely preparation of detailed specifications and work closely with the in-house procurement department
• Furthermore, you will support the smooth execution of projects throughout all construction phases and play an active role in the professional preparation of supplementary contracts
• Finally, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of costing data, sustainable supplier management and the continuous optimisation of internal processes

• You have successfully completed a degree in civil engineering or have a comparable qualification as a construction technician (m/f/d) or architectural draughtsman (m/f/d)
• You also have several years’ solid professional experience in the fields of cost estimation, procurement or qualified site management
• Your confident use of industry-standard software such as BRZ, RIB iTWO or RIB 4.0, are a key part of your day-to-day workflow
• You have a high level of proficiency in spoken and written German, as well as a good understanding of procurement, contract and amendment law
• Furthermore, you demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, a conscientious approach to your work and a confident manner when dealing with clients
• Finally, you are an excellent team player, demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and always work in a solution-oriented and structured manner
• To fulfil this position of responsibility, in addition to your professional expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and have a permanent residence in Germany
