Civil Engineering Foreman (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

You’ll plan the construction work and lay the foundations for a smooth building process. You’ll independently organise and manage the construction process on site. You’ll prepare the site, supervise it whilst work is in progress, and manage it in consultation with the site management. You’ll draw up quantity surveys to document the work carried out. You’ll be responsible for monitoring and controlling deadlines, ensuring construction projects are completed on time. You coordinate the allocation of tasks amongst site staff and ensure efficient deployment of personnel. You determine material requirements in a timely manner and take charge of material procurement and its monitoring. On site, you lead and motivate your construction team and act as the point of contactfor any queries. You will monitor compliance with quality, safety and health and safety regulations on site, and liaise closely with the site management and other project stakeholders on technical or organisational matters

What we’re looking for

• A completed vocational qualification in civil engineering, road construction or pipework installation as a road builder (m/f/d), pipeline fitter (m/f/d) or civil engineering technician (m/f/d); this is ideally supplemented by a completed master craftsman’s examination or a comparable qualification
• You have completed further training as a foreman (m/f/d), site foreman (m/f/d) or certified foreman (m/f/d); alternatively, you have several years’ professional experience as a foreman (m/f/d) or crew leader (m/f/d)
• You hold a valid Class B driving licence
• You are characterised by good leadership, team and communication skills
• Problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to make decisions and assert yourself, are among your strengths
• You work in a structured manner and have good organisational skills
• You have a confident, friendly manner when working in a team, within the company and on building sites
