• You carry out earthworks and excavation work on building sites, for example for utility trenches, sewer trenches or foundation trenches
• Using a shovel, pickaxe and spade, you will handle the standard hand tools and, where necessary, operate small earth-moving machinery such as mini-excavators or trench rollers
• You will be responsible for excavating, backfilling and compacting trenches and excavation pits
• You will secure trench walls in accordance with best practice, whilst complying with regulations on excavation pit safety
• You’ll play an active part in laying and exposing pipes, cables and conduits
• You’ll be responsible for the removal of excavated soil as well as general material transport on the construction site

experience in civil engineering or earthworks

• A basic knowledge of German, both spoken and written, is a key strength of yours
