CNC lathe operator (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• You will operate and set up cycle-controlled CNC lathes with Siemens 840 controls
• You will machine medium to large components with a diameter of 350 to 1,000 mm with precision in accordance with drawing specifications
• You will create and optimise CNC programmes directly on the machine
• You will clamp and position workpieces correctly for each machining step
• You will monitor the turning process and take corrective action in the event of deviations
• You will check finished components for dimensional accuracy and quality using standard measuring equipment
• You will change tools and adjust cutting parameters as required
• You carry out minor maintenance and servicing work on the machine independently
• You document production data and report any anomalies to your line managers

What we’re looking for

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a machinist (m/f/d), industrial mechanic (m/f/d) or precision mechanic (m/f/d)
• You have experience in turning and operating cycle-controlled CNC lathes
• You are fully confident in using the Siemens 840 control system
• You apply your programming skills for CNC lathes in practice
• You have experience in machining medium to large components (350–1,000 mm in diameter)
• You are characterised by technical understanding and precision in your work
• You can read and understand technical drawings with confidence
• You must be willing to work two-shift patterns
• Reliability and attention to detail come naturally to you
• You have at least a basic spoken knowledge of German
• A valid work permit is required
