• You will be responsible for the operational management of capital construction projects in the areas of street lighting, traffic areas and traffic signal systems, coordinating all necessary steps through to successful completion
• You will also be responsible for designing modern traffic systems and accurately calculating all the budgetary resources required for these, whilst taking current economic guidelines into account
• Furthermore, you will oversee the preparation of tenders, draft legally compliant construction contracts for the projects and conscientiously monitor the receipt and validity of the required guarantees
• Regular attendance at important on-site construction meetings and the technically sound execution of the formal construction handover are also integral parts of your varied responsibilities
• As part of your role, you will assist in the successful application for and efficient administration of key grant funding for various municipal capital construction projects
• Furthermore, as part of your day-to-day administrative work, you will assist with the professional processing of all other expenditure directly related to the local council’s roads
• In addition, you will be responsible for independently handling and providing expert clarification on all matters arising in the field of local stormwater drainage across the entire municipal area
• Finally, you will be responsible for the complete and accurate accounting of the construction projects carried out, whilst strictly adhering to all legal requirements and internal municipal guidelines

• You hold a degree in civil engineering (m/f/d) or a comparable discipline such as civil engineering (m/f/d) or road construction engineering (m/f/d)
• You also have at least three years’ professional experience in site management and operational project delivery within challenging civil engineering or building construction projects
• Your solid knowledge of standard Office applications and specialist software used in local authority construction makes you particularly well-suited to this role
• A C1 level of written and spoken German is essential for precise and confident communication in your day-to-day work
• Furthermore, you demonstrate a high level of commitment, assertiveness and very strong teamwork and collaboration skills for day-to-day cooperation with
• In addition, you are completely reliable and always work independently, cost-effectively, solution-oriented and with a high degree of flexibility in the face of changing daily demands
• You hold a valid Class B driving licence for occasional business journeys to the various building sites and for attending various on-site appointments
• To fulfil this responsible role, in addition to your technical expertise, you must also hold a valid work permit and have a permanent residence in Germany
