Job description

  • You are responsible for the preparation and timely submission of all customs documents for import, export and transit
  • you reliably record and process all relevant data in the relevant systems
  • you continuously keep your knowledge of customs regulations and the Union Customs Code (UCC) up to date and apply it competently
  • you work towards achieving agreed KPIs and actively support the solution of operational challenges
  • you are in close contact with international suppliers, freight forwarders, logistics companies and authorities to ensure that customs clearance runs smoothly

  • you carefully check customs tariffs, customs values and proofs of origin and provide customers with comprehensive advice on customs regulations and provisions
  • you help to complex customs issues and ensure compliance with all legal requirements
  • you meticulously determine correct customs tariff numbers and calculate customs and tax duties
  • maintaining data in the customs systems and creating reports to monitor and optimise customs processing are part of your job

Requirements

  • First experience in dealing with customs entries (ATLAS) or corresponding certifications are an advantage for you
  • Very good German and English skills enable you to communicate successfully within the team, with customs and international partners
  • You are characterised by your confident handling of MS Office (especially Outlook, Word, Excel) and your ability to adapt quickly to new software solutions
  • High motivation, to familiarise yourself with the customs business and the logistics industry and to continuously develop yourself further
  • with a proactive team spirit, you organise work processes, increase efficiency and always strive for process excellence
  • you work confidently in accordance with applicable regulations and are familiar with safety standards
  • with a growth-oriented mindset and willingness to learn, you tackle new challenges
