Cutting machine operator (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• You will programme, set up and operate ‘Deckel Maho DMG’ milling machines with Heidenhain controls, as well as Weiler lathes or Schiess vertical lathes with Sinumerik controls
• You will independently interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• You will create and analyse CNC programmes
• You will select, assemble and measure the required tools
• You will set up the machines, including clamping devices, tool selection and loading – using lifting equipment where necessary
• You check finished components for dimensions and surface finish
• You document the inspection results in measurement reports and report any deviations in accordance with internal guidelines
• You report the production status back via the production data acquisition (BDE) system
• You actively participate in measures to optimise processes
• You maintain and service machines and measuring equipment and keep your work area clean

What we’re looking for

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a machinist (m/f/d) or hold a comparable qualification
• Ideally, you already have experience in milling or turning
• You can confidently interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• You are characterised by a good technical understanding and an affinity for technology
• You are familiar with CNC control systems such as Heidenhain or Sinumerik, or are willing to learn how to use them
• Working meticulously and accurately, including when checking and documenting measurement results, comes naturally to you
• We require a willingness to work early and late shifts
• You have a good command of written and spoken German and hold a valid work permit
• Reliability and a responsible approach to handling machinery and tools round off your profile
• You are a team player and are willing to get involved in process improvements
