- You will set up, configure and operate modern CNC-controlled lathes, milling machines and machining centres independently
- You will manufacture individual parts, as well as small and large production runs, with precision from various materials in accordance with technical drawings
- You will select, prepare and change tools and cutting materials professionally, whilst monitoring tool life
- You will carry out dimensional and surface inspections during the production process, using measuring equipment such as callipers, micrometres and 3D measuring machines
- Your duties include carrying out simple maintenance and cleaning tasks on the machining centres, as well as monitoring the cooling lubricants
Requirements
- A completed apprenticeship as a machining technician (m/f/d), precision engineering technician (m/f/d), CNC specialist (m/f/d) or in a comparable metalworking trade will provide you with the necessary technical foundation
- initial or extensive professional experience in setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines
- You are proficient in common CNC control systems such as Siemens Sinumerik, Heidenhain or Fanuc and are experienced in modifying programmes
- Good written and spoken German are part of your skill set
- you have a good technical understanding and are confident in reading manufacturing drawings and work plans
