Job description
- You will mill components for mechanical engineering, particularly hydraulic components, on state-of-the-art CNC machining centres
- You will operate and monitor horizontal machining centres independently
- You will read technical drawings and check tolerances, as well as form and position tolerances, of the machined parts
- You check the dimensional accuracy of your workpieces using a calliper, micrometre, internal gauge and limit gauges
- You carry out tool presetting and make tool corrections where necessary
- You will clamp workpieces correctly and select the appropriate clamping method for each machining step
- You will adjust CNC programmes directly on the machine and optimise them in the event of deviations
- You operate Mazak and/or DMG control systems confidently during the ongoing production process
- You document quality results and liaise closely with production planning, quality assurance and maintenance
- You play an active role in the continuous improvement of production processes
- You keep your workstation clean and tidy in accordance with 5S standards
Requirements
- You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as a machining technician (m/f/d) specialising in milling technology, an industrial mechanic (m/f/d) with CNC experience, or a toolmaker (m/f/d)
- Ideally, you will have several years’ experience in CNC milling
- You have experience of working with machining centres, preferably with horizontal machining
- Knowledge of machining components for mechanical engineering, ideally hydraulic components, would be an advantage
- You can confidently read and interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and form and position tolerances
- You are proficient in using measuring instruments such as callipers, micrometres, internal gauges and limit gauges
- You have experience with tool presetting, tool corrections and clamping techniques
- You have a basic knowledge of CNC programming and programme adaptation on the machine
- Experience with Mazak and/or DMG control systems is an advantage
- You are characterised by a high sense of quality and responsibility
- You work independently, in a structured and precise manner
- Technical understanding and problem-solving skills are among your strengths
