- You will model HVDC converters and their control systems in MATLAB Simulink
- you will implement voltage-forming control concepts such as grid-forming and direct voltage control in simulation models
- you will use PSCAD EMTDC and PowerFactory DigSILENT for modelling and validating converters
- When analysing and optimising converter models, you will contribute to the further development of control and simulation concepts
- You will liaise closely with internal and external partners when addressing technical issues
Requirements
- You hold a Master’s degree, for example in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable discipline
- Your command of German and English is at a business-proficient level (at least C1)
- You also have at least three years’ professional experience in the modelling of power converters, as well as in-depth knowledge of power electronics in the HVDC or wind turbine context
- You have practical experience with MATLAB Simulink and PSCAD EMTDC, as well as in the modelling and control of converters
- You have in-depth knowledge of voltage-forming control concepts such as grid-forming and direct voltage control, and ideally possess knowledge of grid calculations for power supply networks as well as intercultural experience in collaborating with internal and external partners
- To fulfil this position of responsibility, in addition to your technical expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and be permanently resident in Germany
