Job description

  • You will be responsible for the independent project planning, design and construction of sophisticated specialised machinery and process engineering systems in an international environment
  • You will also be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, complete parts lists and complex transport and workspace plans
  • Furthermore, you will oversee the precise design, dimensioning and continuous optimisation of all relevant components, complex assemblies and process engineering procedures
  • Your responsibilities also include the meticulous review of all customer specifications, whilst ensuring compliance with all legal requirements at all times
  • As part of your role, you will assist with troubleshooting and systematic vulnerability analyses to ensure the long-term optimisation of the systems
  • Furthermore, you will support the successful participation in and leadership of development projects, including the documentation and standardisation of new technical processes
  • You will also work very closely with related departments such as the Electrical Department, Procurement, assembly and global service

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, automotive engineering or materials science, or a comparable academic qualification

  • Your confident proficiency in a modern CAD system, such as SolidWorks, sets you apart and facilitates your day-to-day work
  • Furthermore, you have a good working knowledge of strength calculations, FEM analyses, as well as in Excel and, ideally, in programming languages such as Python
  • You have a very good command of German, both spoken and written, at native level, as well as confident communication skills in English
