• In this role, you will plan, manage and monitor national and international transport orders
• Your responsibilities will include the scheduling of our own fleet and the deployment planning for drivers and subcontractors
• You’ll ensure optimal route and capacity planning
• As the point of contact, you’ll be available to customers, drivers, hauliers and internal specialist departments
• You will monitor delivery dates and respond proactively to any deviations
• You will be responsible for booking freight space and awarding transport orders
• You will prepare and check transport-related documents
• You monitor freight rates, costs and profitability
• You also handle complaints and provide support in day-to-day operations
• Maintaining master data and documentation in the IT systems used also form part of your remit

• You have completed a commercial apprenticeship, ideally as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), or hold a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in transport planning, ideally in the freight forwarding or logistics sector
• You have a good knowledge of geography and a strong understanding of transport processes
• You are proficient in using MS Office and dispatch/transport management systems
• Good written and spoken German and a valid work permit are part of your profile; knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage
• Organisational skills, reliability and the ability to make quick decisions round off your profile, as do strong communication skills, assertiveness, the ability to work well in a team, and a customer-focused, independent and structured approach to work
