Your responsibilities

• You will support children aged 10 to 14, with and without special educational needs, in the after-school club (Hort)
• You’ll work collaboratively with the team, parents and external partners
• You’ll help develop the pupils’ social skills and abilities
• You’ll arrange internal or external support and assistance where social issues arise
• You will lead and supervise study sessions (equivalent to homework supervision) and extracurricular groups
• You will plan, organise and run holiday programmes and project days
• You will support the further development of the school club concept
• You are characterised by flexibility, communication skills and the ability to resolve conflicts
• You will document your own work

What we are looking for

• You have completed training as a state-recognised early years educator (m/f/d) (or hold equivalent qualifications)
• You have gained experience in working with ‘older children’ aged between 10 and 14
• You are familiar with the Saaleschule’s mission statement and educational philosophy
• You enjoy working with pupils with and without special educational needs in our inclusive school
• You stand out for your artistic, sporting or musical interests
