• You will further develop existing C++ applications in a hardware-oriented manufacturing environment and carry out refactoring of legacy code
• The design and implementation of new automated manufacturing applications based on Qt 6 and an existing framework will fall within your remit
• When evaluating new technologies, libraries and tools, you will assist with their selection and integration into the project portfolio
• Throughout the entire software lifecycle, you will be involved in everything from requirements analysis, design, implementation and code reviews right through to testing and deployment
• In your day-to-day project work, you will ensure compliance with coding standards and security guidelines, as well as coordinating technical matters with development partners, clients and interdisciplinary teams

• You have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Media Informatics, Computer Engineering or a comparable qualification
• You also have at least five years’ professional experience in the development of C++ software, embedded software, software testing or the integration of hardware and software
• You have several years’ experience with C++, MFC and Qt, as well as a solid understanding of software architectures
• You also have in-depth knowledge of the interaction between hardware and software, database management, infrastructure and design, and are confident in using Git, CMake, CI tools, static code analysis and test frameworks such as GoogleTest or QtTest
• You have a command of German at C1 level
• To fulfil this role of responsibility, in addition to your technical expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and be a permanent resident in Germany
