• You will contribute to the collection, analysis and formal specification of functional and non-functional requirements, and use these to derive viable architectural concepts
• You will be responsible for the design and documentation of SoC-based embedded platforms, taking into account real-time capability, performance requirements and scalability
• You will develop embedded systems at a low-level and design software components such as drivers, middleware and the integration of real-time operating systems
• As part of FPGA development, you will define hardware architectures, data paths, interfaces and hardware accelerators to ensure seamless interaction with the embedded software
• You will be responsible for defining communication interfaces, architectural guidelines and verification strategies to ensure high-performance and reliable system integration

• You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable field of study, such as Computer Science (m/f/d) or Electrical Engineering (m/f/d)
• You have expert knowledge of programming microcontrollers and CPUs such as ARM or RISC-V using modern C++, including design patterns for embedded systems and unit testing
• You have in-depth knowledge of VHDL as well as practical experience in the architecture and implementation of complex FPGA logic
• You have experience in embedded software development using object-oriented C++ in a Linux environment and are confident in using Git for version control
• You have business-fluent German and a basic knowledge of English
• To fulfil this role of responsibility, in addition to your technical expertise, you must hold a valid work permit and be a permanent resident in Germany
