• In your role, you will classify products such as dual-use goods in accordance with EU and US regulations, including ECCN and customs tariff codes
• You will manage the entire BAFA authorisation process with precision
• You will review export transactions for compliance with BAFA authorisation requirements, EU and US re-export legislation, and cross-check them against embargo and sanctions lists
• You will issue the necessary customs documents, such as ABD, EUR.1, A.TR. and certificates of origin, in a timely and error-free manner
• You will liaise with authorities such as Customs and BAFA and assist with foreign trade audits
• You will deliver internal training on relevant export control topics for teams in Sales, Procurement and Development
• You will prepare preferential entitlements and carry out customs clearance checks as part of day-to-day operations
• You will identify and implement opportunities for improvement to optimise compliance processes

• A successfully completed apprenticeship or degree in fields such as international trade, customs management, supply chain management or business administration, as well as a comparable qualification, forms the basis of your background
• You have already gained three to five years’ professional experience in export control and customs clearance relating to dual-use or high-tech goods
• You have sound IT skills, are confident in using ERP systems and are familiar with preparing customs documents
• You have a good command of written and spoken German
• You are characterised by a strong awareness of compliance, as well as a structured and independent approach to work, carried out with great care
• You are resident in Germany and hold a valid work and residence permit for Germany
