• You will be responsible for independently carrying out checks and approvals for the company’s export operations
• You will assess goods, software and technologies to determine whether they are covered by the statutory lists of goods (Foreign Trade Act, EU Dual-Use Regulation)
• As the point of contact (various/m/f) you will be available to support specialist departments on export control matters and advise both specialist departments and projects
• You will apply for licences under the Foreign Trade Act (AWG) and submit preliminary enquiries to the relevant authorities (e.g. BAFA)
• You will manage export licences, apply for timely renewals and monitor the use of granted licences
• You will independently conduct training sessions on the topics of export control and US re-export control legislation (EAR, ITAR)
• You will actively drive forward the implementation of US re-export control legislation (EAR, ITAR)

• You have a degree in business, logistics or industrial engineering, or a commercial/technical qualification with several years’ professional experience in international trade (export control)
• You have experience working in an export-oriented company with involvement in dispatch processes
• You are proficient in MS Office and SAP (S/4HANA)
• You are characterised by a strong sense of legal compliance and an interest in implementing legal requirements, and you are also willing to undergo induction and further training in the areas of foreign trade law
• You round this off with a good command of spoken and written English
• You impress those around you with your communication skills, team spirit and assertiveness
• You are characterised by technical understanding, organisational skills, a strong sense of responsibility and a structured approach
